On the way to becoming a Capital of Culture, Chemnitz is concerned with several aspects. We want to make Chemnitz more visible as a city and place it on the European map. We want to focus on the undiscovered, the unseen and perhaps also the previously invisible. The Capital of Culture Year is an invitation to all doers to get to know and love the city and region of Chemnitz and to create things together. Four thematic pillars form the basis for the programme.
